Monthly Budget Planner
Set a limit for each spending category at the start of the month. The screen shows how much of each limit is used and how many days are left. Unspent amounts can roll over to the next month if you choose.
Zukapo records your spending by category, tracks each savings goal against a target date, and shows the month's balance in plain figures. Setup takes a few minutes. Our Glasgow team replies to questions within two hours on weekdays.

Zukapo has built and maintained budgeting and savings tools since 2020. These six modules are the ones people open most often. Each one is described below with what it tracks and how it is set up.
Set a limit for each spending category at the start of the month. The screen shows how much of each limit is used and how many days are left. Unspent amounts can roll over to the next month if you choose.
Name a goal, enter the target in pounds and pick a date. The app works out the weekly or monthly amount needed and updates it whenever you add or skip a deposit. You can run several goals side by side.
Add a purchase in three taps: amount, category, optional note. Entries are listed by day and can be edited or deleted later. A search field finds past entries by note or amount.
Enter rent, council tax, energy and subscription dates once. The calendar marks every due date and sends a notification the number of days ahead that you set. Paid bills are ticked off and kept in history.
Pick any date range and see totals by category as a bar chart and a plain table. Compare two months side by side. Reports can be exported as a CSV file to open in a spreadsheet.
Invite a partner or flatmate to a joint budget. Each person logs their own spending, and the shared categories add up in one view. Private categories stay hidden from the other person.

Reviews
Zukapo has been running since 2020 and has worked with 960 clients across the city. These are fourteen comments from people who track their spending and savings in the app, including the ones who found things to criticise.
I had three bank accounts and a spreadsheet nobody could read. After linking the accounts and sorting the categories in one evening, I saw that I was spending £214 a month on subscriptions I had forgotten about. I cancelled four of them the same night.
Does what it says. The savings goals are simple to set up. I would like more chart colours to choose from, but that is a small thing.
The budgeting side is solid and the monthly summary is clear. Where it falls short for me is the import of older statements: my building society's PDF files came in with several lines in the wrong category and I had to fix them by hand. Support answered within two hours and explained why, which I appreciated, but the fix took me most of a Sunday afternoon.
Quick to start. Ten minutes and I was tracking.
We use it as a couple with a shared household budget. Splitting the gas, electricity and council tax lines between two people worked well after a bit of setup. The one gap is that we cannot assign a single transaction to a custom percentage split, only to half and half. Otherwise it has taken the monthly argument about money out of our house.
Good for tracking, less good for forecasting. The projection for my savings goal assumes the same deposit every month, and my income is irregular.
I was saving for a deposit and kept missing my target by about £60 each month without knowing why. The weekly breakdown showed it was takeaways. I set a weekly limit, the app warns me at 80 percent of it, and I reached my target for the first time in March. Plain, useful, and no pressure to upgrade to anything.
Clear layout, sensible prices, and the team replied to my first question the same morning. Notifications could be grouped better, as I get several in a row on pay day.
As a self-employed joiner I mix personal and work spending. The tagging lets me keep them apart, and at the end of the tax year I exported everything in one file for my accountant. That saved me a good few hours compared with last year's shoebox of receipts.
It works, and the price is fair. I found the first week confusing because the categories are different from what my bank uses, and the help pages assume you already know the terms.
Set up recurring bills, got a calendar of what leaves my account and when. No more surprises on the 28th.
I use it mostly for a holiday fund and a small emergency pot. Seeing both pots grow in separate bars keeps me honest. I wish I could set a goal in a different currency for the trip, but for everyday pound budgeting it is exactly right and quick to check on the bus.
After a redundancy I needed to see in one place how many months my savings would last. The app gave me a number, 7 months at a trimmed budget, and I could adjust categories to stretch it to 9. Having a figure instead of a worry made the job search calmer.
Fine for the basics. Bank sync dropped out twice in a month and I had to reconnect. Support was polite and quick to reply, though it did not stop the second drop.
Comments are shown as received, with first names and districts only. Individual results depend on income, spending habits and how regularly the app is used.
